Speak Me That I Matter (SMTIM) is the name of York's Children in Care Council. SMTIM provides an opportunity for young people in care to discuss the things that are most important to them. This can help to design and shape services to make them better for all young people in care. SMTIM has the opportunity to meet with decision makers, such as managers and Elected Members, and these are the people who are able to make decisions and changes.

We think your views are really important. We like to listen to what you have to say and any ideas you have.

Being part of SMTIM, you will have the chance to represent young people in care in York. This could be locally in York, or at regional and national conferences. You may also have the chance to take part in projects. Some of our projects have won national awards and we're really proud of that!

Show Me That I Matter is on the second Monday of the month at West Offices, Station Rise, York, YO1 6GA.
